I was born in Wichita,
Kansas and came to
Kentucky in marriage that didn't work. Stayed because I love the
mountains and no tornado's, or blizzards here. Have two dogs and two
angora goats live in a hollow on 100 acres farm with woods for 92 of
the
acres.
Teach in an after school program the old crafts, then take the
children to the Mountain Home Place to demonstrate the crafts to bus
tours
in the summer.
Work at Oil Springs Culture Arts and Recreation Center (OSCAR) teaching chair canning, basket
making, spinning, weaving, sewing, knitting, crocheting and hooking rug
making the tradititonal way with wool scraps and anything to do with the housewife of the Civil War
era.
